1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using NorthStar ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
NorthStar is an AI-powered behavioral alignment platform that reconciles your stated goals, habits, and calendar with your actual behavior. It is a productivity tool, not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
3. Subscription & Billing
The Starter plan is $9/month with a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. After the trial, the subscription renews monthly until canceled. You may cancel at any time from your billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
4. Refunds
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you cancel, you retain access for the remainder of the paid period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or use it for illegal purposes. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. AI-Generated Content
NorthStar uses AI models to generate alignment scores, nudges, and reports. These outputs are probabilistic and may contain errors. Use them as input to your own judgment, not as definitive direction.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms or remain inactive for extended periods.
8. Disclaimers & Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NorthStar's liability is limited to fees paid in the prior 12 months.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
